TAEL Officers:

President, Jack McGurgan is a retired teacher and principal who began the Russian American exchanges in 1993.

Treasurer, James T. Hanley is a retired teacher and principal, lay deacon and currently member, ambulance driver, chaplain and Commissioner of the Dix Hills Fire Department.

Member, Darlene Cardillo is currently the Instructional Technologist for Albany Law School. Previously Darlene was Director of Educational Technology for the schools of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. She also taught French for many years at Academy of the Holy Names in Albany, NY. Darlene has participated in three AMERUS exchanges.

Representatives:

Tatyana V. Tsyrlina: Known in education circles around the world, Professor Tsyrlina is the author of many books on education; a leader in moral education worldwide; vice-rector and a founding member of ROSI and an organizer of international conferences but essentially a teacher who is loved and respected by her many students. 

James Faranda: James Faranda was a teacher and guidance counselor in NYC schools for 14 years before receiving a degree in public administration at Wagner School of Public Service. Jim served in various NYC and surburban community government positions but was most satisfied by his work as an adjunct professor at John Jay College helping students prepare for careers in public service.

Joseph Rustick: The most recent member to join TAEL, Joe is no new comer to the group. He traveled to Russia in the 1994 group and in just about every exchange since then and recently graduated from the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
